DESCRIPTION:

In celebration of the 100th day of school, the students will create a sheet of 100 stamps using the program Kid Pix Deluxe 3.  The students will count and group their stamps in sets of 10.  The students will record numbers counting by 10’s until they reach 100.

PREPARATION:

The students will need to be familiar with the patterns of counting by 10’s to reach 100.  The students will not need to be familiar with the Kid Pix program.  This lesson can be used as an introduction to the program.  Depending on the level of your students, you may want to have several parent helpers or have the students work in pairs with older students.  As a teacher, you will want to become familiar with opening, saving, and printing in Kid Pix.  Please see the following document on the Instructional Technology Web Site to guide you through these operations.
