Enter DUOTONE as a case-sensitive code to have your player in
color with all other players in black and white.
Trash in the streets:
Enter SPRINGER as a case-sensitive code to see trash in the

Hint: Easy lay-up:
While doing a dunk, press Square in the air to do an easy
lay-up (similar to how the CPU does it).
Hint: Easy shooting foul:
To draw an easy shooting foul, get the ball on offense and hold L2.
While holding L2 press either Left or Right, then press the
same direction again. The defender should jab at the ball. While they are doing
so, press Square. You should draw the foul and get two shots at the
charity stripe.
Hint: Dancing cheerleader:
Select franchise mode, pick any team, and finish the season. Make
sure you make the playoffs. Simulate or play all of the games until you get to
the finals. Play the last game of the finals. You can play if desired, but if
you think you are definitely going to win, go to the pause menu then choose
"Quit" Then, go to simulate until the end. When the game is done, you
will see a dancing cheerleader. Then your franchise's team's name will say
"Champion" around it.
Hint: Announced created player name:
Combine names from past or present players (for example, Derrick
Jordan). The last name will be announced instead of the jersey number during the
game.
Hint: All-Star team:
Before entering franchise mode, set "Trade Override" on and
"Point Limit" off. You will be able to get any superstar desired. A
good combination is Jason Kidd as your point guard, Paul Pierce as your small
forward, Ray Allen as your shooting guard, Dirk Nowitzcki as your power forward,
and Shaq as your center.
For the best team in franchise mode, set the "Trade Override" on
and "Point Limit" off. Choose the LA Lakers and keep only Shaq and
Kobe. Create a point guard with all points set to 100 and get the other stars
for the West.

Most of the real-life EA Sports personnel who worked on making the game are
available as hidden characters. To access the EA players, go to the
create-a-player section and input any EA Sports personnel name, which can be
found in the credits section towards the back of the instruction booklet. Most
(but not all) of the names exist as hidden players, including several names
from the "thanks" list, along with commentator Jim Hughson,
rink announcer Jon McComb and Vancouver Canucks coach/NHL 2003
strategist Marc Crawford. If you play in franchise mode, these players
will occasionally appear in the rookie draft for you to sign. Note that the
female Christian names have been substituted for viable male alternatives:
e.g. Susan Smith is Steve Smith, and Christine Staples is Christie
Staples. You will have to experiment to work the girls out. If you can be
bothered to create enough of the players, you can fill out the EA Blades and
EA Storm Custom Teams with actual EA Sports players to give you a further two
teams to play with.
At the created player screen, enter various names of real players that do not
appear in the rosters (such as Eric Lindros). Their exact profile and
face will appear.
Create a player using one of the following names of members of the Bare Naked
Ladies: Jim Creeggan, Tyler Stewart, Steven Page, Ed
Robertson, or Kevin Hearn. The game will adjust the players face
and statistics automatically to match that band member.
Easter Egg cards:
To get an Easter Egg cheat card, win ten games in a row without
boosting your goalie or players with the same NHL team. You cannot use an
international team. You must win one hundred games in row to unlock all of the
cheats.
Hint: Deflection shot:
Get the puck to the offensive zone near the blue line. Hold Deflection/Short
Block while shooting. One of your players will skate to the front of the net
and deflect the puck in.
Hint: Easy goals:
If you are skating with someone that has a very high rank in the Deke
category such as Joe Sakic, Kariya, etc., once you get past the opposition's
blue line, press Down, then press Auto Deke. Immediately after he
is done with the Deke, press Shoot. You will score about 95% of the time.
Take any big shooter and let him take a slapshot directly in the middle of
the hash marks. Shoot for the top corner. This will work about 90% of the time.
If a defender is on you, once in three zone move to the left or right, then cut
back left or right and take you slapshot.
Fake to the left, then Deke to the right and do a wrist shot.
In practice, take the puck and skate up ice. Stop slightly in front of the
blue line and hold Left + Square. The puck should go under the
goalie's stick and into the bottom left corner of the goal. Note: This only
works when you are in action view going up ice.
Hint: Smash players into the glass:
Get a hard hitter such as Brenndon Shannahan. When a CPU or human
player is near the glass, press Big Hit for a chance to break the glass
with them.
Hint: Use NHL player's face and picture for a
created player:
When entering a name for a created player, use an existing NHL
player's name. A prompt will confirm that the player is in the database and then
ask if you want to create a player like him. Select "Yes" and you will
receive his face type and picture for you player. You can then enter any name
and stats once you have finished
Madden NFL 2003
Skip music:
Go to the help menu, then hold Square and press R1 or L1
to change the music.
Hint: Unlimited creation points:
Go to "Rosters", then choose "Edit Player".
Select the players that you want to be rated 99. Go to his attributes, then
increase everything.
Hint: Easy tokens:
Play two-minute drill and choose to play four players, all with your
profile. Set "Fire" the defense and the Vikings as your teams. Next,
use Singleback 4WR All Streaks for touchdowns all day.
At the main menu, go into "Features", select "Rosters",
then go to the team you would like to defend you. For example, select the
Bengals, then go to their defense (CB, FS, SS and Linebackers and Defensive
Linemen). Change all of there speed attributes down to 0. Make a note of the
original values so they can be restored later. Then, go to the Two Minute Drill,
select the Bengals as the defense, and change the difficulty to All-Madden..
Select your team with your profile (Vikings recommended) and you will rack up
points against a team that cannot catch you at all. Put Randy Moss at running
back for even more points when you score or just throw to him always.
Play two-minute drill, and choose any team you hate for the CPU's defense. Go
to that team's roster and set all their defensive players' speed to 0. Instead
of throwing the ball, use a run play. It takes about the same amount of time,
but you will get more points for tokens when you use a running play. The
"Near" formation and "HB Toss" are recommended. As always,
use a fake field goal pass or fake run for the point after the touchdown. It is
possible to score over 68,000 points with well over 340 tokens per 2 minutes.
Hint: Cheerleader and Pump Up Crowd Cards:
Successfully complete the "Game Situation" challenges in
mini-camp mode. The Cheerleader or Pump Up Crowd Cards for the team used will be
unlocked.
Hint: Cheerleader Cards and game cheats:
Get a gold rank in any event on the All Pro, Pro and Rookie levels.
Hint: Barry Sanders:
Get a gold rank in Ground Attack in mini-camp mode under the
All-Madden level.
To do this easier, play as Anthony Thomas. On any outside play, such as pitch
right handoff sweep, etc., move the secondary over and cut back. This will force
them to follow you. Your fullback and yourself can have a dead shot at the end
zone. Remember to do this quickly, any other play like right up the middle, just
juke and try to plow them over.
Hint: Deion Sanders:
Get a gold rank in the DB Swat drill in mini-camp mode under the
All-Madden level.
Hint: Jan Stenerud:
Get a gold rank in Clutch Kicking Drill in mini-camp mode under the
All-Madden level.
Hint: John Elway:
Get a gold rank in the QB Pocket Presence under the All-Madden level.
Hint: Kevin Butler:
Get a gold rank in P-Coffin Corner Punt under the All-Madden level.
Hint: Mike Ditka:
Have a saved game file from another EA Sports football game on your
memory card.
Hint: Mike Singletary:
Get a gold rank in the LB Chase and Tackle drill in mini-camp mode
under the All-Madden level.
Hint: Reggie White:
Get a gold rank in All-Madden DL-Trench Fight under the All-Madden
level.
Hint: Steve Largent:
Have a saved game file from an EA Sports racing game on your memory
card.
Hint: Steve Young:
Get a gold rank in QB Precision Passing (St. Louis Rams) under the
All-Madden level.
Hint: Dodge City Stadium:
Have a saved game file from another EA Sports football game on your
memory card.
Hint: Nile High Stadium:
Have a saved game file from an EA Sports racing game on your memory
card.
Hint: Marshals secret team:
Have a saved game file from another EA Sports football game on your
memory card.
Hint: Mummies secret team:
Have a saved game file from an EA Sports racing game on your memory
card.
Hint: Over the shoulder catch:
When throwing the ball to a receiver that is running a fly route, lob
the pass (tap the button) instead of throwing a bullet (holding the button). The
receiver should catch the ball over his shoulder.
Hint: Break tackles:
To easily break tackles as a running back, alternately press L1
and R1 immediately before you get tackled.
Hint: Get a few more yards:
When you are about to go out of bounds and want to get more yards,
juke to the side away from the sideline. You will not go out, and it also
sometimes delays the defense from pursuit.
Hint: Easy rushing yards:
When down in a game late and need yards, substitute your second
string RB in and put your first string RB in at QB. Off the hike, you can either
run or throw it. If a space is open, you will get more yards.
Hint: Easy sacks:
Select "Whip Man" from the 4-3 defense. When your team
lines up, move your linebackers to the right and linemen to the left. Hide your
left linebacker (after shifting) behind your second linemen from the left, who
should be lined up over the offense's tackle. Move the middle linebacker over
the offense's right guard. At the snap of the ball, have the left linebacker
blitz to between the offense's left guard and center, getting him right to the
quarterback. If done correctly, even a running back blocking should not be able
to stop you.
Hint: Onside kick:
To kick an onside kick, keep the arrow where it is. Do not move it.
Then, tap X(2) as quickly as possible. You should recover the onside kick
the majority of the time.
Turn off penalties. When you are about kick the ball when starting or after
you scored, choose one of the onside kicks. When you go to kick, move it all the
way over and down. For example, if your kicker is kicking off facing towards the
left, move it all the way over towards the left and all the way down. You should
get the ball every time.
When you score, just before the kickoff, press Start. Select
"Settings", then "Gameplay". Select "Easy play"
and turn it on. You can now do an onside kick to your team. You can then turn
"Easy play" off, or keep it on.
Hint: Fake audible:
If you see defenders lining up where you know your play is about to
go, or are setting up about to blitz, press Square then L2.
Everyone will go back to their normal position and you can run your play.
Hint: Run defense:
Choose the 4-3 defense and use one of the plays that have an OLB
blitzing from the outside. Control the MLB and use L1 to shift your
lineman to the side that the tight end is on once the play starts. You should
then have a clear shot at the RB.
Hint: Onside kick:
Turn off penalties. When you are about kick the ball when starting or
after you scored, choose one of the onside kicks. When you go to kick, move it
all the way over and down. For example, if your kicker is kicking off facing
towards the left, move it all the way over towards the left and all the way
down. You should get the ball every time.
Hint: Better quarterback accuracy:
Note what kind of quarterback you are passing with. If you have
someone such as Kurt Warner, you may have better accuracy if you set your feet,
then throw the ball. If you have someone like Donovan McNabb, you might have
better luck throwing on the run.
Hint: Easy catches:
Throw the ball to any receiver. After the ball has been thrown,
switch into your intended receiver and let the CPU run the pattern. Immediately
before the ball gets to you, tap R2 + L2. If the ball is somewhat
to the receiver, he will reach out and most likely catch the ball.
Hint: Better draft pick:
If you have a first place team and you know its going to be very late
in the draft, trade with a last place team. Sometimes you can even get a first
and second round pick for just your first. This is a very good way to get young
players on your already good team.
Get any player or draft pick you want during franchise mode. After the
regular season, such as during the playoffs or immediately before the Superbowl,
go to create a player and make a quarterback. Make him 45 years old so that he
will immediately retire when the season is over. Next, make him a 99 overall.
Sign him from the free agency and trade him for any player or draft pick that
you desire. You can do this as many times as you need, and can get ten first
round picks and every player desired.
When you are in the off season, finish all the tasks until you are to NFL
Draft. When you are about to do the draft, save the game. Then, do the draft. It
does not matter who you pick. Go to "Trade Player" and highlight
"Age". Press Circle and view all your rookies. Go through all
the teams and write down all the rookies that have about a 75 rating or above.
Exit your franchise, then load the game again. Go to the off season schedule,
and select "NFL Draft". Draft as many of those well rated rookies as
possible.
Note: This trick requires NCAA Football 2003. Go to Create A Player in
NCAA Football 2003 and make players with all their attributes all the way
up. Alternately, edit everybody on your team and make everyone seniors. Go to
dynasty mode then go to the off-season. All of your seniors will graduate.
Export the draft class. Then, on Madden NFL 2003, import that draft class
and all the people that you created will be there. You should get some of the
players that you drafted. Repeat this as needed.
Hint: Better trades:
If you play with the salary cap penalties turned on in franchise
mode, it is better to trade the player(s) you wish to cut for another team's
draft pick. You will avoid penalties, keep your roster from becoming full, and
get another draft pick.
Start a franchise and create a new coach (or make one under the Coach
Option/Job Openings screen). In Coach Options/Job Openings screen, highlight
your coach, then press Left or Right to select the team with the
player or draft pick you want. You are now the coach of that team. Trade the
player you want to your team. Then, return to the Job Openings screen in Coach
Options and select your original team. Back out and you will be coaching your
team again.
Hint: Get any player:
Use the following trick to get any player in a trade without the
other team rejecting. In the franchise mode, create a player as a quarterback
and move his attributes until you get to 99 points. Then, put his injury and
stamina down to 0. This will not change the attribute point level. Sign him as a
free agent then trade him to any team for anybody you want. When you play the
team he is playing for, after a couple of plays he will either become injured or
will be taken out of the game for his weak stamina. No team will refuse your
trade and you will have any player you want on your team.
When playing in franchise mode you can trade for any player you want without
having that trade turned down. Go into the create a player menu and create a QB
that is all 99s. Sign that player to your team then trade him to another team
that has a player that you want. To make the trick even better, you can add
another player from their team to the trade that is in the 80s -- this will be a
2-for-1 trade. When the trade is complete, exit out to the franchise main menu
and enter back into the create a player menu. Go back into the QB's attributes
and edit them all the way down to 0s and then go back into the trade screen.
Take the second player in the deal and trade him back to the team for the
created QB. You can then start the whole process over by going into the create a
player menu and editing his attributes all the way up again.
Hint: Cheap players that are good:
To make a receiver go to create player and create the player as a
quarterback. Give the player very low passing abilities (zero) and very high
catching and ball handling levels. The player will cost very little because his
quarterback skills are bad. You will have to sign him as a quarterback but use
him as a wide receiver. His salary will never go up because he will not play as
a quarterback. You can also change his number and attributes in the edit player
screen. You can also make a dirt cheap fullback by eliminating his receiving
skills.
Hint: Cheaper player:
When you have an expensive player, you can release him and sign him
for less money.
Hint: Cheaper created players:
When the free-agent signing period appears in the off-season, go to
the "Create-A-Player" menu and make a player with very low attributes.
He will want a low salary. Then, offer him a contract. Before he accepts it, go
to the "Create-A-Player" menu again and set his attributes to anything
desired. He should accept the contract you offered him, and the other teams
almost never bid on him.
Hint: Lower team's overall salary:
One way to lower a team's overall salary is to cut certain players'
salaries. You can do this with players that have low attributes but high
salaries. To do this, go to "Rosters" and select "Edit
player". Select a player on the team that has a low overall rating
(anything under the low 80s) and has a high salary. When you choose to edit the
players "Attributes", you will notice that his salary decreases. Do
not change anything in his attributes and exit out. You have now made your first
budget cut of the season.
Hint: Super team:
Play through the entire season and save at the Pro Bowl. Simulate the
Pro Bowl and go to off-season schedule/player progression. Look for young
players from other teams in positions that you need that have progressed well.
About +7 overall should be sufficient. Next, look at your players to see those
that have progressed negatively. Quit the game and reload your previous save
game. Trade away all of your players that have progressed negatively for young
players that progressed well.
Hint: Fantasy team franchise:
Start a new Madden game (no loaded rosters, teams, franchises, etc.).
At the menu screen, go to "Features", "Rosters", then
"Trade Player". Find your desired team and trade the players you do
not want for those that you do. All trades will be accepted, unlike in franchise
mode. Save your roster under something easy to remember, load it, start a
franchise, and start playing.
Hint: Bring players out of retirement in franchise
mode:
Once the season has ended and you begin the off season, the first
thing you are supposed to do is check to see which players have retired. If one
of your created players is on that list, you can bring them out by doing the
following. In the off season schedule, advance through retired players, rookie
scouting, and re-signed players, but do not go to free agent signing. Get out of
your off season schedule by pressing Triangle, then go to
"Features", then "Create-A-Player". All the players you
created should be on the list. The retired ones should be there as well.
Highlight the player that retired and choose to edit him. Select "Delete
Player" and it will give you a list of your created players to delete. Do
not delete the retired player. As you scroll the list down, you should see the
player that just recently retired. It will say what team he is on, etc. Your
retired player will be listed as a free agent. Once you see your retired player
on your list of players to delete, do not delete him. Instead, go back to the
previous screen, then to your off season schedule. Then, go to the free agent
signing and your retired player should be there for you to sign back on to your
team.
Hint: Easier gold in mini-camp mode:
Create a player and trade him to the team that you are doing the
drill with. Make sure that the created player is playing the position of the
person that you are trying to complete the drill with. For example, Ronde Barber
is the corner back in the Defensive Swat Pass drill. If you create a corner back
and make his attributes all 99, put him on the Buccaneers and make him the
starting or number one cornerback. Then, he will do the drill. You may do this
with any person on any drill. You may also make the people who you are going
against in the drill "sorrier". If you know their names, go to their
attributes and turn them all the way down.
Hint: Thanksgiving commentary:
Set the system date to the third Thursday in November.
Hint: Christmas commentary:
Set the system date to December 25 to hear John Madden say
"Merry Christmas to all".
Hint: New Year's commentary:
Set the system date to January 1.
Hint: Former NFL coaches:
In franchise mode, go to create a coach and enter a former NFL
coach's full name (for example, Don Shula) and all his former stats should
appear.
Hint: Announced names:
Create a new team and name the new coach "John Madden".
Melissa will be able to say his name during the game.
To have the announcer's call your name, you must choose an NFL player's name
that is in the game. For example, use "Dan" form Dan Marino and
"Barber" from Tiki Barber to make a player named "Dan
Barber". Note: Sometimes the announcers will only call the player's last
name.
Hint: City name spoken:
When creating a custom team, use the a city where an NFL team plays
as your custom team's home city. The refs and the PA announcer will say your
team's city.
Hint: Stadium name spoken:
Create a Stadium that has the same name as a teams' stadium. For
example, enter "Aloha Stadium" as your stadium's name and it will be
announced.
Hint: Players in boxers:
Go to "Two Minute Drill" with the Colts. Play the drill,
and when it is done select "Try Again". When it loads again, all the
players on the Colts will be wearing black and white boxers. Note: You may need
a certain number of points.
Hint: Recommended offensive plays:
Go to create a playbook, select offense, then create the following
formation. You can name it as desired:
Create this play. Everyone run blocks except have your fullback block, lead
far right. Have your half back do a hop step sprint right. If done correctly,
just follow your halfback during a game and the hole will open up. If you play
as the Raiders, this strategy is usually good for at least 8 yards.
Pick a run play that has two tight ends. If the defensive line/backs move
left or right, press Square + R2 so your play is flipped. The
defence will not move giving you an open field or at least a 12 yard gain.
For a pass play. do a 4 Wide play. If the defense calls an audible, press Square
+ R2 so that your wide receivers switch sides. This also creates an open
field for a QB Draw or a 30 yard pass to your deepest receiver.
To run a short slant route, press L2 or R2 at the line of
scrimmage. Running backs and tight ends can run this route also, but they cannot
be on the line of scrimmage.
On offense, you can get cheap with your QB, especially a fast one. Line up in
a shotgun set with one back if you have it. Try to find a play where your back
flares out and your strong side receiver runs across the middle. The defense's
LBs should pick up the back and receiver, leaving the DB to be in a deep zone.
You should have a huge hole. Drop your passing icons and make a mad run for the
first down. Either dive, slide, run out of bounds; or slow down to take a hit
because very few QBs can take a full shot and hang on to the ball. This strategy
has a 95% success rate and only fails if the defense is good or your OT makes a
mistake.
Hint: Recommended defensive plays:
Use the following plays against All-Madden difficulty level teams. Go
to the 4-3 formation and scroll up until you see the "Sweet Blitz"
play. It is a good play to use when the team runs or passes. To make it even
better, have your lineman and linebackers shift so that they are are in other
positions. The "Fireman" is also a good play, as well but not as great
as "Sweet Blitz". You can also find it in the 4-3 formation. The best
play for passing is "Robber". You can find it in Quarter. Its very
good because you will get a lot of your secondary covering the receivers and is
about 70% efficient when stopping passes.
While in the 4-3 defense, you can really break down the offensive line with
the Mike blitz. Shift your defensive line to the strong side and press R1
+ Up to slide your LBs outside to prevent sweeps. Then, stack your MLB
behind the man in front of the center. When the ball is snapped, blitz to the
opposite of the NGs slant. If done correctly, the weak side guard will pick up
the DE instead of the MLB and the center will washout the NG, leaving a massive
hole for you. It has a 85% success rate against the middle run and a 65% rate
against the pass. However, if the offense comes out in a twin TE set, the
defense is useless and you will need to switch to whatever strategy you want to
counter this set.

Hint: Life Of Crime career path:
Prevent a thief from escaping in Get A Life mode to unlock the Life
Of Crime career path in all modes.
Hint: Easy money:
Enable the "Free mode" code, then go to your house and buy
a lot of expensive items. After that, save then restart your system. Do not
enter the code again, then sell your items back for more money. The best item to
do this with is the Monkey Butler Tree, which is worth 15,000 Simoleans.
Enable the "Free mode" code, then move your Sims into the cheapest
house available. Then, buy a lot of expensive items (such as the Monkey Butler).
After this, evict your Sims from that house, but do not empty the house. By
doing this, your Sims keep the "assets" that they had, which turn into
money for them. The house will then cost something similar to 99,999 Simoleans.
To counter this, enter build mode for the house you moved your Sims out of, then
sell off the Monkey Butler and other items you put up. The house will be cheap
again. Move your Sims back in and they will have a lot of money.
Enable the "Free mode" code, start a game, and buy fifteen Heart
Hot Tubs. Note: These must be unlocked in Get A Life mode first. After buying
them, save the game and quit. Turn off the PlayStation2 to disable the code.
Return to the same game and sell all the Heart Hot Tubs that were bought to get
up to 99,999 Simoleans. Notice that when you pay bills, buy something, etc.,
your money will not decrease.
Make a wall parallel to the sidewalk (with the trash can and mail box). Put
the most expensive wallpaper on both sides. Then, press Square to sell
the wallpaper on one side. If this does not work, try the opposite side. You
should be able to sell one side's wallpaper repeatedly.
Use the following trick to make the wallpaper technique faster. As you sell
the sheet of wallpaper, you must hold Square and release it to complete
the sale. If you press Square repeatedly after the sale, the sales keep
occurring for how many times it was pressed. Also, this trick works better if
the wall has an intersection in the shape of a "T".
Buy a workbench and heighten your Mechanical, Creativity, and Body. Keep
making Gnomes. If you have a very high status, you should be able to sell each
gnome for at least 100 Simoleans. Making gnomes only take about one to two
seconds each if you have a very high status.
Have a Sim with a high creative level. Start a painting or a sculpture. After
it has been started, tell that Sim to stop, then have another Sim (with no
creative points) finish it. Sell it, and you will still get as much money as you
would if the Sim that originally started it had also finished it. You can even
have your kids finish your painting and still get as much as if the parent did
the painting.
Hint: Easy skills:
Evict a family. When this happens, their moods go up immediately
after you move into another house. Once you get in a house, study, work out,
etc.
If your energy or any other stats get low, evict yourself from the house.
Reenter the house and all your stats will be renewed.
Hint: Easy promotions:
To get promoted quickly, always check your Job Panel and look at the
Smiley face and the numbers next to it. Notice that there are two numbers. The
one on the left, if you have a job, will have a number. You have to make as many
Family Friends to equal how many that number is. When you get the correct amount
of Family Friends, if you have any Yellow looking bars next to your Cooking,
Mechanical, etc., you will need to fill those up by looking in a mirror and
practicing speeches, Charisma, or working out on a treadmill, body exerciser,
etc. When you go to work the next day or so, or if your Sim needs adjustment to
its feelings, keep it home one day from work. Fill up its needs and wait the
next day. When you go to work and your Sim is in a good mood (filling its
needs), check the job panel. Highlight the job they have, press X, and it
will show you their performance. If the performance is "Good", you
will most likely be promoted when you get home. If it does not work the first
time, keep filling their needs and send them to work in a very good mood.
Hint: Cheaper houses:
Enable the "Free mode" or "Midas mode" code. Go
to Play The Sims mode. If a character does not have enough money to buy a house,
bulldoze a worthless house and move that family in the field; or if there is a
place with no house, move the family into that area. Pause game play and start
building your house however desired.
Hint: Getting married:
To get married easily, invite a Sim of the opposite sex. But first,
always throw a party and pick the Sim you want to marry. "Greet" them,
"Talk" to them, then when they want to leave you will know their phone
number. After dark, call that person. "Invite" them over. If they say
"Sure", wait for them. Get to know them more. When you get the chance
to "Flirt" with them, do so. Sooner or later she or he will fall in
love with you. The next day (or perhaps on same day), get your Sim in a good
mood (three green bars or more). Then, "Serve Dinner (Lunch, etc.)".
When they are done eating as much as they desire, watch television. While they
are watching television, highlight your "Guest" and give them the
command to "Watch TV". They will "Watch TV" with you, talk
to you, and their comfort will rise. Next ,"Talk" with them,
"Tell Jokes", "Hug", "Dance", etc. If your Sim is
still in a good mood (three green bars or more), you will have the option to
"Propose" to the Sim you want to marry, Sometimes they will not accept
(you will hear warning sirens) and they will state a reason. Do whatever they
wanted you to do. When you fulfill their requests, "Propose" again. If
you are lucky, they will accept. Note: You can only do this in Play The Sims
mode.
Hint: Keep child home from school:
If you do not want your child to go to school and do not want to keep
hearing the bus honk every few seconds, just let your child stand in the middle
of the road where the bus waits everyday. Then the bus will not appear, and your
child will not go to school.
Hint: Getting money after missing work:
If you miss work one day, do not answer the phone. Instead, wait
until the next caller, who should call in later. They will give you some money.
Hint: Cancel newspapers:
Let your newspapers pile up for five days until you have five of them
on your yard. On the sixth day, do not collect any and you will get a message
stating that you will not receive any more papers because you have too many.
Note: If you hire a maid, she will pick up the papers and you will continue to
receive them.
Hint: Keep Major Dormo longer:
Call Major Dormo, then put a fence around his tree house after he
leaves it. He will remain with you much longer, but will still eventually
disappear.
Hint: Keep guests from leaving and improve your
social status:
Throw a party. When your guests arrive, have them go inside your
house. Pause game play and enter build mode. Wherever there is a door going
outside, replace it with a wall. Resume the game. Since they cannot leave, they
will stay and have a raging party. You can now talk all you want with your
guests and they will not leave, eventually even marrying someone. You may also
want to buy some beds in case they get tired.
Hint: Attack a Sim:
Insult a neighbor or your roommate until their name is down to -100.
Then, go outside and display the action options (where you can choose to kiss,
hug, insult, slap). You should now be able to attack the person. Do this about
three times. Your roommate will have had enough and pack up and leave for good.
Hint: Killing Sims:
If you want to see the Grim Reaper and put a lot of tombstones in
your backyard, enter build mode and add a fireplace. Fix up the house somewhat.
When prompted to move in a family, create one and make several Sims. Have all of
your Sims enter the room with the fireplace and have one of them light it and
stand very close. The fire should catch them all if they were close enough. The
Grim Reaper should show up to claim the family. Once he does, if there is one
Sim remaining have them call the fire department. the Fire should go out and
there should be several little tombstones sticking up out of the ash. Enter
build mode, grab all of them, and place them in the backyard. If desired, you
can add some flowers and other objects. They will become a grave. To get rid of
the last Sim, lock them in a room with no windows or doors. They should die in
three and a half days. Repeat the grave steps when the Grim Reaper reappears. if
you want a very large graveyard, repeat all the steps. Note: This will not be a
good home for families, as they will be mourning all the time.
Hint: Change clothes faster:
When a Sim puts up the curtain to change, press L1 to pause
game play. They will change, but time will freeze.
Hint: Place wallpaper or carpets faster:
Hold L1 or R1, then press Square at the same
time.
Hint: Alien abduction:
Buy the telescope and use it for too long. Your Sim will be abducted
and disappear. It will reappear some hours later, with different stats.
Hint: Nude Sim:
Note: This is easiest to do in Play The Sims mode. Get a fire place,
then buy a rug and place it under the fireplace. Guy the heart shaped spa. Light
the fireplace, get in the spa, and wait until there is a fire. Before your Sim
gets out and starts jumping around because of the fire, cancel everything but
the spa. Wait until the spa burns up. If done correctly, your Sim will appear in
another part of room close to the wall, and will not have their clothes on.
Note: The censor will still appear.
Hint: Zombie Sim:
Kill a Sim and wait for the Grim Reaper to appear. Plead for his or
her life. The Grim Reaper will either ignore your plea, turn your Sim into a
Zombie, or revive your Sim. If your Sim was revived, kill him or her again, then
try again. The outcome is random. Note: Do not save the game if the Grim Reaper
kills your Sim. Reload the game and try again. Zombie Sims do not have any
features different from normal Sims other than a green color.
Hint: Regain needs:
Skip work every other day, to the point where they call you but you
will not get fired to regain your fun and social levels. While you are home,
call over some friend(s) and play pool or a cooperative game.
You can use the Wiffer Puffer Gold to recover a certain part of your needs,
such as comfort, fun, etc. according to the one you use. This is especially
useful near where you read or work out.
Buy a Bug Zapper from the electronics section of buy mode. Place it somewhere
outside. Have an adult Sim touch the Bug Zapper (highlight and select the Bug
Zapper for the options to appear). Then choose the "Touch" option and
your Sim will get shocked by the Bug Zapper. Do this a few times and your Sim's
energy level will be boosted, but they will need some comfort points.
Glitch: Invisible fish:
Buy the Fishtank and immediately place it. Quickly exit the start
menu. The fish will not have time to load. There will not be any fish in the
tank. Note: You can still feed and watch the fish, and when you press Start
the fish will reappear.
Glitch: Floating food:
This can be done at any time during the game. Start or load any game
(Get A Life or Play the Sims mode) and enter a house. Go to the kitchen and make
some food. While your Sim is holding their food, pause game play and select
"Save And Quit" from the options. When you go back into the house,
immediately pause game play and go into build or buy mode. Then, go over to your
Sim. If done quick;y enough, the food your Sim is holding will load, but the Sim
will not. It will appear as if the food is floating in the air.
Glitch: No censor curtain:
Get someone in a bath or love bed. Put a fire place next to it, buy a
cheap rug under bed or bath. If fire goes on the bed or bath, they will hop out.
The censor curtain will appear, and when they hop out off you can see them
uncensored.
Make a room just big enough for a bed and for Sim to walk through to get to
it. Then, buy a love bed and place it in the middle of the room. Buy four
fireplaces and place them on the outside of the room. Buy enough carpets to fill
up the room. Then, buy a door. Make your Sim light all four fireplaces. Next,
make the Sim vibrate in the bed. After the Sim is fully in the bed, put each lit
fireplace on each side of the bed so that the Sim cannot get out. Wait for the
bed to catch on fire. The Sim will disappear. Press R2 to make you Sim go
to the bathroom. When they are done, the censor will be gone.
NHL 2K3
Hint: Easy goals:
Swerve side to side when on breakaway or alone for a shot. When the
goalie is to far out of position, shoot a wrist shot to score. This works about
70% of the time.
Set your controls to "Advanced" in the options screen. Then, when
you are about to take a shot, hold L1 + Triangle and press the Analog-stick
Left or Right to begin deking the puck. Next, hold L1 + Circle
and press the Left Analog-stick in the direction opposite to which you
deked it. Finally, release Circle and the puck should get past the
goalie.
Press Right Analog-stick Up when you are in your opponet's zone until
the highlighted option is "Overload". Then, go behind the opponent's
goalie and pass it back to your defense. When the puck is being passed, hold L1
+ Circle. When your defense appears on screen, release Circle to
do a one timer slap shot (overload).
Pause game play and select "Choose Sides". Choose the opposing
team, then select "Pull Goalie". Resume game play long enough for the
goalie to get off the ice. Pause game play again and choose your original team.
Then, shoot the puck at the goal and it will slide in before the goalie can
return. This is very useful if you are down a few goals at the end of the game.
Hint: More PIM:
Put all enforcers out on the ice for the entire game and have skill
level set all the way up (or at least on pro). You can get a total of 325 PIM by
doing this. Ray, Boulton, Stock, Chara, Domi, and others are recommended.
Hint: Fights:
There are unlimited amount of fights in the game. It is possible to
reach 35 by doing the following: Cut all the enforcers from the league, then
place them all onto only two teams. Cut players that are not enforcers from the
two selected teams. Place the enforcers on all the lines of both teams. Finally,
play a game with the two teams. To increase the frequency of fights besides the
frequency option, increase hitting power and decrease the fatigue options.
Placing the level of skill to pro or higher makes it easier to start fights.
Players may even fight just by bumping shoulders.
At the options screen, fill up the fighting meter and the hitting power.
Then, during game play, find a player that fights well. To start a fight, pick a
certain player on the opposite team and continue to check him. After about three
times, a fight will start.
To get in as many fights as possible, put all top enforcers onto just two
teams. Face them off with only enforcers on the ice. Then, turn fighting and
checking all the way up and turn off penalties. You should have constant fights,
especially if your skill level is at "Hall Of Famer". The best players
to use are Rob Ray, Eric Boulton, Tie domi, Peter Worrell, and Bob Probert.
The easiest way to get into more fights is as follows. First, set your
difficulty level on "All Star" or "Hall of Famer". Doing
this will automatically make fights happen more often, because the CPU players
check you back. Then, set the "Fighting" slider all the way up, the
"Fatigue" slider all the way down, and the "Hitting Power"
down to slightly less than half way. This helps because when you check a player
in a head-on collision, he will not fly 20 feet away, and he can stand up to
challenge you, and vice versa. Also, trade some of the best enforcers in the
league to your team, such as Rob Ray and Ed Boulton (both from Boston), and
others. Also, create your own players. Give them high stats, especially in Grit,
Aggression, Endurance, Checking, and Check Bias. This will make them good
fighters, and scorers as well.
Hint: Top twenty enforcers:
1. Rob Ray (Buf): Very good checker, has heart. His 3000+ PIM is why he is the
best. He will fight anyone on the ice and is the greatest leader for your
team.
2. Eric Boulton (Buf): Follows in Ray's footsteps. Have him on the same line
as Ray.
3. P.J. Stock Bos): Fights very often. Does not get called for penalty that
much.
4. Tie Domi (Tor): Dirty player but can scrap well
5. Stu Grimson: May have been forgotten, but is a power house.
6. Bob Probert: 3000+ PIM and can still fight.
7. Zdeno Chara: 6' 9" giant that can deliver punishment..
8. Jody Shelley: Plays dirty but can go toe to toe with everyone except Ray or
Boulton.
9. Matt Barnaby: Not a very good fighter but will always go.
10. K. Oliwa: Big time hitter and can fight well.
11. E. Cairns: Good enforcer for a defenseman.
12. I. Laperriere: Small but powerful.
13. Paul Laus: Also very good hitter for a defenseman.
14. A. Nazarov: Russian enforcer who can deliver.
15 P. Worrell: Big 6' 6'' enforcer who can help a power team.
16. J. Weimer: Has Eric Cairns to back him up cause he is an average fighter.
17. D. Brashear: Can go toe to toe with many players.
18. S. Mckenna: 6' 8'' giant who can fight well.
19. J. Odgers: Old but still noticeable.
20.***** bonus player: Create a player named Dan Westphal. Give him qualities
all the way up to have a great enforcer and scorer. Make him as short as
possible and light to make him go more often. No other created player will go
as much as he does. He is great on lines with Ray and Boulton.
