AWARDS SYSTEM The purpose of the Dakota High School Award System is to promote, recognize, and reward excellence for performance in all areas of the school curriculum. We encourage student involvement in all activities and the award system is designed to recognize participation.
The performance of each student is to be evaluated by faculty sponsors/coaches on a scale ranging from zero through the maximum number of points allotted for each activity. As symbols of recognition of achievement, the award system will use class numerals, a school letter and chevrons. A certificate of award suitable for framing will be presented during the school year to each student earning cumulative points.
